Local Service Has Advantages for Acute Hospital Care Provider
Santa Barbara, CA –April 23, 2013—Mission Linen Supply, a leader in textile rental and buy direct programs, announced today that Cottage Health System has renewed its longtime contract. Under the agreement, Mission Linen will continue to launder all patient linens for three Cottage Acute Care facilities, as well as provide kitchen products, lab coats, floor care products and uniforms for ten additional labs, clinics and dietary accounts.
Cottage Health System is the single not-for-profit provider of acute hospital care in the greater Santa Barbara region. The agreement with Mission Linen is for two Cottage Hospitals in Santa Barbara and Goleta and Santa Ynez Hospital in Santa Ynez, California.
According to Afshin Fatholahi, Vice President of Support Services at Cottage Health System, the decision to renew the contract with Mission was made after a review of options in the area. “Our relationship with Mission Linen Supply goes back to 2008 and has grown due to Mission’s ability and flexibility to meet our needs and requirements. We believe it’s important to keep our business within the community and support a local business in Santa Barbara which offers economical advantages for the community at large. It’s a win-win situation.”
The contract with Cottage Hospital will be serviced by two Mission Linen plants, one in Santa Barbara, California and one in Santa Maria, California.
